Your Coach Subscription: Trial, Subscribing and Cancelling
How the free trial works, what a plan costs, and how to subscribe, manage or cancel your coaching subscription
Your Coach Subscription: Trial, Subscribing and Cancelling
As a head coach, SquadTracker needs an active subscription once your free trial ends. This covers the trial, what plans cost, subscribing on the web or in the app, and cancelling. If your club covers your access, or you're an assistant coach or a parent/player in the Hub, most of this won't apply to you — see the sections below.
What you'll learn
- How the 30-day free trial works, and what happens when it ends
- What the plans cost, and the difference between subscribing on the web and in the app
- How to subscribe, manage or cancel your subscription
- What "Restore purchases" does if you bought through the App Store or Google Play
- Who gets free access automatically: club-sponsored coaches, assistant coaches, and Hub parents/players
Quick Steps
- Open your plan screen — Go to Account, then the Subscription tab, or you'll land here automatically once your trial ends.
- Choose Single Team or Multiple Teams — Single Team covers one team; Multiple Teams covers up to 5.
- Choose Monthly or Yearly — Yearly saves 17% compared with paying monthly.
- Press Subscribe Now — On the web this opens Stripe Checkout; in the iPhone or Android app this opens the App Store or Google Play purchase sheet.
- Confirm payment — Once confirmed, you're taken straight back into SquadTracker with full access restored.
Trial and pricing
Your trial lasts 30 days from when you start it, gives full access, and never asks for card details — if you don't subscribe, you simply lose access when it ends rather than being charged. Prices on the web are £2.49/month or £24.99/year for Single Team, and £4.49/month or £44.99/year for Multiple Teams (up to 5 teams). In-app purchase prices may vary slightly by store and region — check the purchase screen in the app for the exact figure, or see the Pricing page.
Managing or cancelling a web subscription
If you subscribed on the web, your plan screen shows a Manage Billing button instead of a buy button. This opens Stripe's secure billing portal, where you can update your card, download invoices, switch plans, or cancel. A cancelled monthly plan keeps full access until the end of the period you've already paid for, then stops — it doesn't cut you off immediately.
Subscribed through the App Store or Google Play
In-app purchases are billed and managed by Apple or Google, not by SquadTracker directly, so cancelling or changing that subscription happens in your phone's own subscription settings. If SquadTracker ever shows you as unsubscribed after a purchase, use Already subscribed? Restore purchases on the subscription screen — this re-checks with the App Store or Google Play and re-activates your access without charging you again.
If your club covers your access
Clubs on Club Platform billing can cover their coaches' subscriptions for free — see Club Platform Billing. If your club covers you, you won't be charged personally. If you still have an old personal plan running from before your club took over, you can still open Manage Billing to cancel it.
Assistant coaches and the Hub
Assistant coaches get full access for free — only the head coach on a team needs a paid plan. If you're also linked as a parent or player in the Parent & Player Hub, that access stays free regardless of your coaching subscription.
