Inviting Parents and Players to the Hub
How to send Player Hub invites to families — the Hub is on by default
Inviting Parents and Players to the Hub
The Parent & Player Hub gives families a free login to see fixtures, training times and team news — and it cuts down the messages you have to send by hand. It's on by default for every team, so all you need to do is choose who gets invited.
What you'll learn
- That the Hub is on by default — you only need to send invites
- How to send an invite to a parent or a player aged 16+
- How to manage pending invites and connected members
- What families can see once they've joined
- How to switch the Hub off, if you ever want to
- Go to Team Management* — Open your team, then select the *Player Hub tab. The Hub is already switched on, so you can go straight to sending invites.
- Open Send an invite* — Choose the invite type: **Parent / Guardian** or *Player (16 or over).
- Enter their details — Add the family or player's email, first name and last name, then link one or more players. Parents can be linked to more than one child; a player invite links to exactly one player.
- Confirm age for player invites — For a Player invite you must tick the box confirming they're 16 or over. Under-16s should always be invited through a parent or guardian instead.
- Press Send invite* — The recipient gets an email with the subject "You're invited to {team} on SquadTracker" and a *Set Up My Account button linking to their private claim page.
Quick Steps
Managing invites and members
Under Hub members & invites* you can see all pending invites with *Resend and cancel options, plus everyone already connected. Each player also shows read-only privacy badges (Stats on/off, Social on/off) — these are controlled entirely by the family, not by you.
What families see
Once connected, parents and players (16+) see fixtures, training times and team news for the players they're linked to — never anyone else's. They can reply to availability, chat with the team, view stats (where families have opted in) and pay any fees you've set up. If you ever want to switch the Hub off for your team, you can do that from the same Player Hub tab.
Invite links expire
Each invite link is single-use and expires after 14 days. If a family misses the window, just find them under pending invites and press Resend.
