Replying to Matches and Training (Availability)

How to let your coach know if your child can make it to a match or session

Last updated: 2026-07-12

Replying to Matches and Training

Coaches rely on knowing who's available before a match or training session. The Hub makes it quick to reply with one tap — no more group chat back-and-forth.

What you'll learn

  • Where to reply to fixtures and training sessions

  • What the three response buttons mean

  • How to change your answer later

  • What your coach sees on their side
  • Quick Steps

  • Open Home or Schedule* — Your next match or training session appears as a card on the Hub **Home** screen, or browse everything upcoming on the *Schedule page.

  • Tap Going, Maybe or Can't* — **Going** (green) confirms your child will be there, **Maybe** (amber) means it's not certain yet, and *Can't (red) lets your coach know they'll be missing.

  • Reply per player — If you have more than one child linked to your account, you'll answer separately for each of them.

  • Change your mind any time — Plans change. Just go back to the card or the Schedule page and tap a different button — your answer updates instantly.

  • Watch for the "needs reply" banner — If a fixture is coming up and you haven't answered yet, the Hub Home page shows a banner reminding you.

What your coach sees

Coaches see a grouped summary on their match and training pages — Going*, **Maybe**, **Can't make it** and *No reply yet — along with a running total like "6 of 11 confirmed so far". Replying promptly (even with a Maybe) helps your coach plan teams and pitches.

FAQs

Can I change my answer after the deadline? Yes — availability can be updated any time right up until kick-off, though it's best to reply as early as you can so your coach can plan.

Do I need to reply for training too? Yes, the same Going/Maybe/Can't buttons work for training sessions as well as matches.

What if I have two children on the same team? Each player gets their own response, so you can mark one as Going and another as Can't if needed.
