Sharing a Match Result Image
How to generate and share a branded image of your match result with parents and players
Sharing a Match Result Image
Once a match is completed, SquadTracker can turn the score, scorers and awards into a branded image you can post or send straight to parents and players — no screenshot needed.
What you'll learn
- Where to find Share Result and what the image contains
- How to change the background style, accent colour and logo
- What Download and Share do differently on phones and on the web
- Which players appear by name and which appear as initials
- What to do if sharing or saving fails
Quick Steps
- Open the completed match — Go to Matches, then tap a match marked Completed to open Match Overview.
- Tap Share Result — This opens the Share Match Result dialog with a live preview.
- Choose a background style — Pick Gradient, Solid, Stripes or Circles.
- Set the accent colour — Leave it as your kit colour, or tap a swatch under Accent Colour to pick one of twelve preset colours.
- Add your badge (optional) — Tap Add team logo and choose a photo from your device.
- Choose what to include — Switch Assists and Player Awards on or off.
- Download or share — Tap Download to save the image, or Share to send it straight to WhatsApp, Messages or another app.
What's in the image
The image shows the final score and the goal scorers, with goal type marked where your team tracks it, and — if you've left the switches on — assists and the coach's and players' player of the game awards, all in your team's colours and badge.
Download vs Share
On your phone, both Download and Share save the image to your device and open the native share sheet so you can pick WhatsApp, Messages, or wherever you want to send it. On the web, Download saves the image straight to your computer; Share uses your browser's own share option if it has one, or falls back to downloading the file.
Consent and player names
Any player whose parent or guardian hasn't approved sharing — whether their consent is still pending or has been declined — appears as initials only in the shared image, never their full name. Only players with approved consent are shown by name. This applies however you've set the Assists and Awards toggles. Parents and guardians make this choice for players under 16; players aged 16 or over can set it for themselves.
If something goes wrong
If the preview doesn't appear, try changing a setting to trigger it again. If Share or Download then fails, SquadTracker tells you — "Could not share — please try again" or "Could not save — please try again" — rather than doing nothing. If you simply dismiss the share sheet yourself, that's not treated as an error.
Who can do this
Any coach with access to the team can share a match result once it's completed.
