Recording a Result Without Live Tracking

How to enter the final score, goals, cards and attendance for a match after the game, without using the Live Tracker

Recording a Result Without Live Tracking

Not every match needs the Live Tracker running pitch-side. If you'd rather jot things down during the game and enter them afterwards, open the match itself and fill in the result, scorers and attendance in one go.

What you'll learn

  • How to enter the final score and who scored
  • How to mark who played, so attendance figures are accurate
  • How to record cards, minutes, saves and awards where your team tracks them
  • The difference between Save to Upcoming and Complete Match
  • How to edit a result afterwards, and what cancelling a match does

Quick Steps

  1. Open the match — Go to Matches, then tap the fixture you've just played (it's still showing as scheduled, not completed).
  2. Mark who played — Under Player Statistics, switch on Played in match for every player who was in the squad.
  3. Add goals and assists — Tap + under Goals each time that player scored (if your team tracks goal types, you'll be asked whether it was open play, a free kick or a penalty); tap + under Assists the same way.
  4. Check the score — Your team's score fills in automatically from player goals. Use the + / − buttons under the opponent's name for their score, and Opponent Own Goal for a goal that counts for you but isn't credited to a player.
  5. Record cards, minutes and awards — Where your team tracks them, use the Yellow/Red card, Minutes Played, Saves / Pen Saves (goalkeepers) and Goal Saving Actions counters, and switch on the coach's and players' awards for anyone who won them.
  6. Pick a captain (optional) — Choose from the Captain (optional) dropdown — only players marked as having played appear in the list.
  7. Save or complete — Tap Save to Upcoming to store what you've entered without finishing the match, or Complete Match once it's final — this counts the game in your season stats.

Save to Upcoming vs Complete Match

Save to Upcoming keeps the match in your upcoming list so you can come back and add more later — handy if you're still waiting on a card count from the referee. Complete Match marks it as finished, moves it into your match history, and is what feeds your season statistics. After completing, SquadTracker reminds you to finish the teamsheet — tap Go to Teamsheet Now or Continue to skip it for now.

Every time you tap either button, SquadTracker rebuilds the goals, assists, cards and awards for the match from what's currently on screen — so if you need to change a stat after completing, reopen the match page itself rather than only using the quick edit dialog.

Which fields you see

The fields on this page depend on which match features your team has switched on in Team Management — see Match Features for the full list. Goalkeepers always get Saves and Penalty Saves fields; Goal Saving Actions is available for every player regardless of position.

If the Live Tracker was used

If a Live Tracker session is still running for this match, Complete Match stops you and asks you to either open the Live Tracker or Save & Review Live Stats to end the session and keep what it recorded. You can't complete a match while its live session is still open.

Editing a result afterwards

Tap the pencil icon on a completed match's card, or inside the Match Overview popup, to open Edit Match Details — this changes the referee, date and time, or match type. Opponent and result can't be changed there once a match is completed. To correct goals, cards, attendance or awards, open the match itself the same way you recorded them.

Cancelling a match

For matches that haven't been completed yet, the same edit dialog has a Match Cancelled switch. A cancelled match is excluded from your team's statistics and attendance figures entirely.

Who can do this

Any coach with access to the team can record or edit a match result.
