Facilities and Pitches
How to add, edit and organise your club's pitches so the calendar and auto-scheduling work correctly
Facilities and Pitches
Facilities are the pitches, halls and venues your club plays and trains on. Setting them up properly means the Club Calendar can show real pitch clashes, and Auto-Schedule knows exactly where to place each fixture.
You'll find Facilities in the club sidebar. Anyone with Member access or above can see the list, but only owners and admins can add, edit or remove a facility — see Club Roles and Permissions for the full breakdown.
What you'll learn
- What a facility is and the surface types available
- How to add a new pitch or venue, including sub-pitches
- How Preferred Teams helps Auto-Schedule place fixtures correctly
- How to edit or remove a facility
- What owners, admins and other roles can each do here
Quick Steps
- Open Facilities — From the club sidebar, tap Facilities.
- Press Add Facility — Owners and admins only.
- Name it and choose a surface type — Both are required. Surface types are Grass Pitch, Astro Turf, 3G Pitch, 4G Pitch and Indoor Hall.
- Add the optional details — A Location, a Pitch Size (5v5, 7v7, 9v9 or 11v11) and a Calendar Colour so it's easy to spot on the Club Calendar.
- Set it as a sub-pitch, if it is one — Choose Sub-pitch of and pick the parent pitch for a half-pitch inside a bigger one.
- Tick Preferred Teams — Choose which teams typically play there, so Auto-Schedule assigns their fixtures to the right pitch.
- Press Add Facility — It appears in your facilities list straight away.
Sub-pitches
If one of your pitches splits into two halves that can be used at the same time — for example a full Astro pitch split into two training areas — add the full pitch first, then add each half and set Sub-pitch of to point at it. A booking on either half blocks the full pitch, and a booking on the full pitch blocks both halves, but the two halves can be booked independently of each other at the same time.
Editing or removing a facility
Press the edit icon on any facility card to change its name, type, location, pitch size, sub-pitch setting, colour or preferred teams. The delete icon removes it after you confirm — there's no undo, so double-check before confirming on a facility with upcoming bookings.
Where facilities show up elsewhere
Once set up, your facilities feed two other tools:
- The Club Calendar's Pitches view shows one lane per pitch (sub-pitches as sub-columns) and flags anything booked on a clashing pitch — see Using the Club Calendar
- Auto-Schedule uses each facility's Preferred Teams setting to assign fixtures to the right pitch automatically — see Auto-Scheduling Fixtures
