I Can't Log In

What each sign-in error means and how to get back into your account

I Can't Log In

Sign-in problems usually come down to one of a few causes, and SquadTracker names it on screen. Match what you're seeing below — coaches, club admins, and parents or players in the Hub all sign in at the same screen.

What you'll learn

  • What "Invalid email or password" means and how to reset your password
  • Why you might be asked to verify your email, or enter a verification code, before you can sign in
  • What an "Account Suspended" screen means
  • What to do if a Hub invite says you already have an account

Wrong email or password

You'll see "Invalid email or password. Please try again." SquadTracker never says which one is wrong, for security.

  1. Check for typos — Watch for an extra space, wrong case, or an old password from autofill.
  2. Reset it — Tap Forgot? next to Password on the sign-in screen and follow the emailed link.
  3. Wait if blocked — After 10 failed attempts in 15 minutes you'll see "Too many failed login attempts. Please try again in 15 minutes" — wait, or reset your password from the same message.

Asked for a verification code

You land on a "Two-Factor Authentication" screen asking for a 6-digit code, and "Invalid verification code" appears when you enter one.

Club owners, club admins and platform admins get this extra check when opening club management pages, every 6 hours.

  1. Enter your authenticator code — A current 6-digit code, or a saved backup code.
  2. Check your phone's clock — Codes rely on accurate time; a few minutes' drift causes "Invalid verification code".
  3. Set it up if asked — Sent to Account → Security instead? Two-factor authentication is required for your role and isn't set up yet.

Email not verified yet

You're redirected to a "Verify Your Email" screen asking for a 6-digit code instead of being signed in.

New accounts must confirm their email before their first sign-in. The code lasts 10 minutes.

  1. Check your inbox — Look for the SquadTracker code, including spam/junk.
  2. Enter the code — Type it in and press Verify Email.
  3. Resend if needed — Press Resend Code for a new one if it expired or never arrived.

Account suspended

You're sent to an "Account Suspended" screen: "Your access to SquadTracker has been temporarily suspended." This is a suspended account, not a login error.

  1. Press Contact Support — Opens an email to support@squadtracker.co.uk pre-addressed as an appeal.
  2. Explain what happened — The team will review and reply by email.

A Hub invite says you already have an account

Opening a parent or player invite link shows "There's already a SquadTracker account for [email]", or says the invite was already used.

Parents and players share the same login as coaches, so an email already in use — even a coach account — can't create a second one.

  1. Log in first — Press Log in on that screen and sign in with that email's password.
  2. Reopen the invite link — Once signed in, open the invite link again to connect it to your account.
  3. Reset the password first if needed — Use Forgot? on the sign-in screen if you don't know it.

Still stuck?
