Team Management: Settings, Coaches and Features

Team Management is the control centre for your team — your badge and basic details, who else coaches with you, which features are switched on, player name consent, and (if it ever comes to it) deleting the team. Most of it is only open to the head coach, so it's worth knowing what's here even if you rarely need to touch it.

What you'll learn

  • How to update your team name, badge, colours and other details
  • How to invite, resend and remove a coach from your coaching staff
  • What each toggle on the Features tab actually does
  • Where to manage player name consent for social media posts
  • Who can see and use each part of Team Management
  • How to delete a team, and what it actually removes

Quick Steps

  1. Open Team Management — From the drawer menu tap Team Management.
  2. Update your team info — On the Team Info tab, tap Change Logo to update your badge, then edit your team name, colours, description, founded year, league and division, and press Save Changes.
  3. Invite a coach — Switch to the Coaches tab, tap Invite Coach, enter their email address and press Send Invitation.
  4. Switch features on or off — Switch to the Features tab and use the toggles — each one saves instantly, no extra button needed.
  5. Manage player consent — On the Players tab, press Manage Player Consent to request or record name consent for social media posts.

Who can do what

  • Head coach — Full control: edit team info, invite and remove coaches, turn features on or off, manage seasons, and delete the team. Needs an active subscription, unless your club sponsors you.
  • Team admin — A role occasionally assigned by a club: the same editing rights as the head coach for team info, features and seasons, and free access with no subscription needed — but can't send or cancel coach invitations. Only the head coach can do that.
  • Assistant coach — Doesn't have access to Team Management at all; the app sends them back to the dashboard. Ask your head coach to make any changes here.

Coaches: inviting and removing coaching staff

Under Current Members you'll see everyone coaching your team, with a badge showing their role. Press Invite Coach to add someone — enter their email and press Send Invitation; they always join as an Assistant Coach. Under Pending Invitations, press Resend to send a fresh email (the old link stops working automatically) or the bin icon to cancel it. To remove an assistant coach, press the bin icon next to their name and confirm — the head coach can't be removed from here, and can't remove themselves either.

Features: toggles and award names

Each switch on the Features tab saves the moment you change it: Track Cards (yellow and red cards in matches), Track Minutes Played, Track Full Game Statistics (corners, free kicks, shots on goal and penalties), Track Goal Types (regular, free kick or penalty), Live Match Tracker (pitch view, clock and real-time events) and Player Achievements (milestone badges shown in the Parent & Player Hub — worth turning off for older age groups if it feels too playful). Below that, set your Coach's Award Name and Players' Award Name and their abbreviations, up to 10 characters — these are the names used for your end-of-match awards. The Player Hub toggle itself lives on its own tab — see Inviting Parents and Players to the Hub.

Players: name consent and removed players

The Players tab starts with Name Consent Management. Consent confirms a player — or their parent or guardian, if they're under 16 — agrees to have their name shown when you share a match result to social media; without it, only initials appear on the post. Press Manage Player Consent, choose Parent/Guardian or Player (Self), select players, then either share the generated link so they can confirm it themselves, or mark it as approved yourself if you've already got consent in person. The same screen lets you withdraw consent you've previously approved. Below that sits your Removed Players list — for how restoring and permanently deleting a player works, see Removing and Permanently Deleting Players.

Deleting your team

In the Features tab's Danger Zone, Delete Team permanently removes the team, its players, matches, training sessions, statistics and every coach's access — there's no recovery, so export your data first. You'll be walked through two confirmation screens before anything happens. If this is your only team, you can choose to have a new, empty team created for you straight after deletion.
