Understanding Your Stats Page

What every chart and leaderboard on the Stats page means, and what you need to record for it to populate

Understanding Your Stats Page

The Stats page turns everything you record in matches and training into team form, leaderboards and season trends — automatically. There's nothing to switch on first; a number only appears once you've recorded the match event behind it.

Coaches use it to track form over a season, spot who's carrying the team, and settle friendly arguments about who's top scorer. Parents and players see their own figures too, in the Hub, once you've recorded them.

What you'll learn

  • What each section of Team Stats and Player Stats shows
  • How the Most Appearances percentage is worked out, and why it splits all games from league only
  • What counts towards Top Contributors, and how goalkeeper stats are recorded
  • Why some players appear as initials instead of full names
  • How to export the player table to a PDF

Quick Steps

  1. Open Stats — From the bottom menu tap Stats.
  2. Pick a season — Use the season dropdown at the top right; it defaults to Current Season.
  3. Switch tabs — Tap Team Stats for form and results, or Player Stats for leaderboards.
  4. Drill into a month — Under Monthly Performances, tap any month card for a full breakdown of results, scorers and awards.
  5. Export the table — On Player Stats, tap the printer icon above Complete Player Statistics to generate a PDF.

Team Stats: form and results

The strip at the top shows Wins, Draws and Losses, followed by Matches, Goals and Clean Sheets for the season. A clean sheet is any completed match where your team conceded nothing.

Performance shows Win Rate, Goals per Game, Goals Conceded per Game and Goal Difference. Current Form shows your last 10 results as W/D/L badges and your current streak.

Top Contributors charts your top five players by goals plus assists, and Clean Sheets charts them by month. Match Info splits league from friendly matches with separate win rates, and shows how many completed matches had a referee recorded and how many were cancelled — cancelled matches are left out of every other stat on the page. Monthly Performances gives you a card per month; tap one for that month's results, scorers, assists and awards.

Goal Difference by Match charts one bar per completed match — above the line for a win, below it for a loss — so you can see at a glance whether you're trending up or down over the season. It appears once you've completed at least two matches.

Streaks and Records shows your longest unbeaten, winning, scoring and clean-sheet runs, plus your biggest win and heaviest defeat, with a filter so you can view All matches, League only or Friendly only. A run counts consecutive completed matches of the type you've selected: unbeaten means no defeat, scoring means you found the net at least once, and clean sheet means you conceded nothing.

Attendance shows average match attendance — every player on the match register (marked as played, or on the bench in a live-tracked match) divided by the larger of your active squad and the players who have appeared this season, averaged across completed matches where a register was taken (matches with no register are left out, and cancelled matches are always ignored). This is a different count from Most Appearances, which counts games actually played — so the two figures can differ. It's split into All, League and Friendly, though the League and Friendly rows only show once both have matches to compare. A separate training figure works the same way for training sessions: players who attended divided by players on the register. Underneath, a month-by-month trend shows how attendance has moved over the season, with dashed lines marking the season averages. This section only appears once attendance has actually been recorded.

Shots, Corners, Fouls and Conversion shows per-game averages for your team and the opposition, calculated only across matches where each stat was actually recorded, plus a chart of shots against goals per match. Conversion rate is goals divided by shots on goal. A match where every full-game stat was recorded as zero is treated as not recorded and skipped, rather than dragging the average down. This section only appears for teams that record full game stats, and is off by default — turn it on from Customise if you track that detail.

Player Stats: what feeds each leaderboard

Top Contributors ranks players by goals plus assists combined. Top Scorers and Most Assists rank goals and assists on their own.

Most Appearances shows games played out of games your team has completed, as both a fraction and a percentage — once as all games (league and friendlies) and once as league only. The percentage is always out of matches the team finished, not matches that player happened to have a line for, so it falls as your fixture list grows even before everyone's had a game.

Most Productive ranks goals plus assists divided by games played, so it rewards a consistent game-by-game contribution rather than a season's raw total. A player needs at least three games to appear, so one good afternoon doesn't top the list; tied players share a rank. The card stays hidden until someone has three games and at least one goal or assist has been recorded.

Most Saves, Penalty Saves, Goal Saving Actions and Captain only appear once someone has recorded one — a squad that never tracks saves won't see an empty row of zeros. Goal Saving Actions (GSA) is a tally you record for any player, not just your goalkeeper, each time they make an action that stops a goal — tap GSA on the player in the live tracker, or enter it when you record the result afterwards. Hat tricks (three or more goals in one match) are counted automatically too — see How to Track a Match for how goals, saves, GSA and captaincy get recorded during the game, and Match Features for turning goal and assist tracking on or off.

Recent Awards shows the last 10 Player of the Game and Trainer of the Week awards given this season, with a Season Award Leaders list underneath counting each player's coach's awards, players' awards and trainer-of-the-week awards.

Training Attendance ranks sessions attended out of the sessions that player was on the register for, by percentage, with a trainer-of-the-week count shown underneath. It's off by default — switch it on in Customise. Sessions that haven't happened yet are left out, and the card only appears once attendance has been recorded.

Playing Time shows total minutes on the pitch this season, from the live tracker or minutes entered with the match stats, longest first, with a dashed line marking the average across the players shown, not the whole squad. Only players with minutes recorded appear. It's off by default — switch it on in Customise. The per-game figure divides by games where minutes were recorded, not every game played.

Why some players show as initials

Wherever a player's name appears on this page — leaderboards, the awards list, the full player table — a player whose parent or guardian hasn't approved sharing stats is shown as initials only (for example "J. S."). Players 16 or over can give this consent themselves; younger players are represented by a parent or guardian. See Player Consent, Explained for how that approval works.

Exporting the player table

Complete Player Statistics lists every player with games, attendance (Att % across all games and Lge Att % for league games only), goals, assists, minutes and any goalkeeper or captaincy columns that apply, with a search box to filter by name. Tap the printer icon to generate a PDF — on the SquadTracker app this opens your device's share sheet as Save or Share PDF; on the web it downloads straight away.

Each leaderboard shows its top five; tap Show all to see the full list, and Customise to choose which sections the page shows (see Customising your Stats page).
