Fixing Hub Invite Problems
What to do when a Player Hub invite link has expired, been used already, or run into another snag
Fixing Hub Invite Problems
Most Hub invite problems have the same fix: your coach cancels the old invite and sends a fresh one from Team Management → Player Hub. Here's what each message means and what to do about it.
What you'll learn
- What each invite error message means
- What to do if the invite went to the wrong email address
- Whether one parent can be linked to more than one child, and whether two parents can share access to one child
- What happens if you already have a SquadTracker login
Quick Steps
- Read the message on the invite page — It tells you exactly what's wrong.
- Ask your coach to check Team Management → Player Hub — Under Hub members & invites, they can see every invite's status.
- Ask them to cancel the old invite — They press the × next to it.
- Ask them to send a new one — With the right email address and the right player(s) selected.
- Open the new email within 14 days — Invite links are single-use and expire after 14 days.
What each message means
- "This invite link has expired" — It's been more than 14 days since it was sent. Ask your coach to send a new one.
- "This invite has already been used" — Someone already followed this exact link. If that was you, just log in instead. If it wasn't, tell your coach — they can cancel it and send a fresh one.
- "This invite was cancelled" — Your coach cancelled it on their end. Ask them to send a new one if you still need access.
- "The Parent & Player Hub is currently switched off for this team" — Ask your coach to switch it on in Team Management → Player Hub, then try the link again.
- "This invite was sent to a different email address" — You're already signed in with an account that doesn't match the invite. Sign out, then open the invite link again.
Invite went to the wrong email
Ask your coach to find the invite under Hub members & invites and press the × to cancel it, then send a new one to the correct address. Sending a new invite to a different email doesn't automatically cancel the wrong one, so it needs cancelling directly.
I already have a SquadTracker login
If the invite was sent to an email you already use for SquadTracker — even a coach account — opening the link tells you an account already exists. Log in first, then open the invite link again; it connects the Hub access to your existing login rather than creating a second account.
More than one child, or more than one parent
One parent can be linked to several children — ask your coach to select all of them when sending your invite. Two parents can each have their own login for the same child — your coach sends a second invite using the other parent's own email address; both accounts can see that child independently.
Still stuck
If none of this fixes it, ask your coach to double-check Team Management → Player Hub, or get in touch with SquadTracker support.
