How to Track a Match

SquadTracker makes it easy to track your matches in real-time. Here's how:

Before the Match

  • Go to Matches in the app

  • Find your upcoming match (or create a new one)

  • Tap on the match to open it
  • Recording the Score

    During the match:

  • Tap the + button next to your team's score to add a goal

  • Select the scorer from your player list

  • Optionally add the minute the goal was scored

  • If tracking goal types, select the type (goal, free kick, penalty, own goal)

  • The score updates automatically
  • To add an assist:

  • Tap Add Assist

  • Select the player who made the assist

  • Optionally add the minute
  • Recording Cards

If you have card tracking enabled:

  • Tap on a player's name

  • Select Add Yellow Card* or *Add Red Card

  • The card is recorded against that player
  • Recording Minutes Played

If you have minutes tracking enabled:

  • Tap on a player's name

  • Mark if they played in the match

  • Enter their minutes played (defaults to full game if not specified)
  • Goalkeeper stats, captain and hat tricks

While tracking the match you can also record saves*, *penalty saves and
goal saving actions (GSA) for any player, and mark who's wearing the
    captain's armband.

These show up on the player's profile (Players page), on the Stats page, and
in the Parent & Player Hub — but only once a player has actually recorded
one, so squads that don't track them never see a row of empty zeros.

Hat tricks need no extra taps — SquadTracker counts them automatically
whenever a player scores three or more goals in a single match.

    Player of the Game Awards

At the end of the match:

  • Tap Awards

  • Select the Coach's Player of the Game

  • Select the Players' Player of the Game
  • Completing the Match

    When the match is finished:

  • Review all the stats

  • Tap Complete Match

  • Add any final notes

  • Your stats are saved and synced
  • Tips

  • You can edit match details after completion if needed

  • All stats feed into your season statistics

  • Share match results with parents and players
